The Rural Estates Ranger is accountable to the Rural Estate Ecological Officer for the practical aspects of conservation and habitat management across the Dstl Porton Down estate and specifically on the Site of Special Scientific Interest, (SSSI) Special Protection Area (SPA) and Special Area of Conservation (SAC) in line with legislation legislation and Dstl Policy. Location: Dstl Porton Down - Salisbury, SP4 0JQ You will raise the profile and reputation of CPRE Berkshire with external partners through a strong media and social media presence, including an up-to-date website. You will be working with the chair, trustees and secretary of the local group also liaising with various stakeholders from local MPs and council leaders to volunteers, CPRE members, the media and the public. Your immediate priority will be to increase membership and volunteers and establish new projects to expand the charity’s income through fundraising to ensure the long-term viability of CPRE Berkshire. In a nutshell you will be responsible for the day to day running of the organisation, for the operational plan and its delivery. Location: Berkshire, hybrid working, flexible working is fully supported.
